Subscribe MGA has significantly strengthened its underwriting platform after securing a new long-term capacity agreement with Fortegra Insurance UK Ltd. (FIUK), a subsidiary of Fortegra, a global specialty insurer, part of DB Insurance Co., Ltd. The agreement supports the continued expansion of Subscribe's specialist insurance offering.
The £5m binder provides Subscribe with A rated underwriting capacity across its growing portfolio of UK micro and SME Professional Indemnity business. Reflecting its position within Fortegra, FIUK holds an AM Best Financial Strength Rating of A (Excellent) and a Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “a” (Excellent). The binder marks another significant milestone in the MGA's development following its launch in late 2025.
The deal will support several new underwriting initiatives planned during 2026/7, including specialist medical malpractice and healthcare-related products, while also providing flexibility to develop additional niche insurance propositions over time.
The agreement forms part of Subscribe's wider growth strategy, centred on combining specialist underwriting expertise with long-term insurer partnerships capable of supporting sustainable expansion.
David Eynon, Managing Director of Subscribe, said:
Long-term capacity partnerships are fundamental to the success of any specialist MGA. This new agreement with Fortegra provides A rated capacity and stability for our brokers, confidence for our clients and gives us the flexibility to continue investing in new specialist products.
We're not looking to build a business around short-term opportunities. Our focus is on developing sustainable underwriting propositions that solve genuine market problems, backed by capacity providers who share that long-term perspective.
The new agreement comes as Subscribe prepares to launch several new specialist facilities over the coming months, broadening its proposition beyond traditional financial lines into adjacent specialist markets where it believes brokers require greater underwriting expertise and flexibility.
